This is why I prefer to use a product specifically designed for the job. I have always found the chart builder in MS Word to be clunky and underwhelming, especially when trying to build larger charts with custom branching. Many users are used to building these types of charts within MS Word and have them embedded directly in the document. There are so many uses for flowcharts and org charts that it would be exhausting to list them.
